Pattern Language

· Arkhe

Every pattern on every living thing exists for a reason. These patterns are generated by reaction-diffusion systems first described by Alan Turing in 1952. Two chemicals interact and diffuse at different rates, producing spots, stripes, and labyrinthine patterns.

The same mathematics produces the spots on whale sharks, the stripes on zebras, and the rosettes on leopards. Nature does not decorate. Nature engineers. Arkhe translates these patterns with scientific fidelity.
