The Whale Shark

The largest fish on earth wears a pattern of white spots on blue-grey skin that is unique to each individual — a constellation no two sharks share. Rhincodon typus can reach 18 meters. Its spots may serve as camouflage when viewed from above against dappled sunlight, or as UV protection.
